Listed below are the guidelines we will follow to promote student
safety until further notice. These guidelines have been approved by
KSHSAA, AVCTL, and the Patriot League. Please help us keep our student
athletes safe and on the courts, pools and mats by adhering to these
guidelines.
KSHSAA activities will allow for attendance of up to
two parents/guardians per participant(s) family as allowed by local
board of education or health department restrictions. Participants
considered may include players, coaches, student managers, cheer squads,
dance teams, pep bands, and student journalists.
- Admission
will be $6 per parent/guardian for AVCTL events, $4 per parent for
Patriot League events and name must be on the spectator list provided by
home and visiting school. Changes to the list need to be made by noon
of game day to Emily Gutierrez eagutierrez@eldoradoschools.org or Scott Vang psvang@eldoradoschools.org.
- Identification may be required for entry. Siblings or children are not allowed to attend.
- A
face covering is required for all in attendance and at all times. The
face covering should be worn in the manner it is intended to be worn -
covering the mouth and nose. The only exception is provided for athletes
during the time they are competing and for officials during active
play.
- Social distancing is to be practiced at all times.
- Parents/guardians will not be allowed on the court/mat or by locker rooms.
- Parents/guardians
attending basketball games should arrive just prior to the start of
their child’s game. We ask that you leave the facility at the completion
of your child’s game.
- Certain events may be more restrictive to
parent/guardian attendance such as tournaments and invitationals, as
determined by the host school.
- Games will not start until the
posted time, this will help assure parents they can arrive “just prior
to their child’s game,” this would also assure non-attendees that the
game will not start prior to the live stream.
- No spectators are
allowed to sit in the front row. This will give more separation between
the players/officials and spectators. Officials spend a significant
amount of time along the sideline during play and during dead ball
situations.
- If parents have students on different levels of teams they will need to leave the venue and return at the appropriate time.
Thanks for your help in keeping our student athletes playing this winter.
