Grandview nominated as an Exemplary High Performing School
Grandview Elementary was nominated to be recognized as an Exemplary High Performing School and has received an invitation to apply to become a National Blue Ribbon School. Only five schools from across the state can be nominated for this prestigious honor.
To be eligible for this nomination, Grandview had to demonstrate consistent excellence, make progress in closing gaps in student achievement and students had to score in the top 15 percent of all Kansas schools in the 2018-2019 state assessments.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program began in 1982 as part of a larger U.S. Department of Education effort to identify and disseminate knowledge about effective school leadership and promising instructional practices. Since its inception, the program has recognized more than 9,000 schools.
Grandview administration will work to complete the application packet and submit it to the U.S. Department of Education for consideration by early April.
