EHS STUCO collected nearly 900 meals for United Way during the Red and Black Scrimmage on August 24.
Each year, STUCO members create flyers to encourage those who attend the scrimmage to bring cash or food donations to help local families.
"The Salvation Army is low on pantry inventory so they are always looking for boxed cereal, canned soup, canned tuna, canned vegetables, and pasta," Andrea Van Auken, Executive Director of United Way of El Dorado said.
STUCO members collected $289.88 and 7 crates of canned and boxed
food which they presented to the United Way on August 31. The cash and food are equivalent
to approximately 590 meals which will be used to help stock the Salvation Army Food
