2019 Science Fair winners announced

USD 490 and the El Dorado Kiwanis Club partnered for the annual Science Fair on March 1.

Two hundred students in grades 3-8 submitted 85 projects to be judged. One winner was selected from each of the four categories: Physical Science, Earth Science, Biological Science, and Mathematics. A Grand Champion was chosen from those top four.

This year’s Grand Champion “Hot Under the Collar” by Aodhfionn Mora-Bruce was from the Physical Science category.

First place in Earth Science was awarded to “Now You See It, Now You Don’t” by Savannah Earnest, Mikaela Hall, and Kaitlyn Perrill.

First place in Biological Science was awarded to “Music and Heartbeats” by Keylee Faudere, Quinn Houseman, Trinity Motter, and Elisabeth Nobert.
