EHS juniors and seniors attended the ESSDACK Career & Post-Secondary Expo in Hutchinson on November 6.
USD 490's food service contractor OPAA! hosted Breakfast with Local Heroes at each elementary school during the month of October.
Senator Bruce Givens visited JAG-K students at EHS and the EHS Extend campus on November 2.
Several EHS students were recognized as Kansas Honor Scholars during a ceremony at Wichita Heights on November 7.
Several EHS athletes received AVCTL Division III All-League honors in football, volleyball, and soccer.
The family and friends of Marjorie Tiner have endowed a fund with Partners In Education Foundation (PIE) to honor Marjorie’s 35 years of service as an elementary educator.
EHS students Christian Price and Hallie Yeubanks were named Wendy’s High School Heisman Award winners.
Current Superintendent Sue Givens announced her intent to retire during the October Board of Education meeting, and USD 490 has begun the Superintendent Search process with the assistance of the Kansas Association of School Boards.
EHS students participated in Apply Kansas on October 22. The goal of of the program is to encourage all high school seniors to apply to some type of post-secondary school or training program to prepare for the future.
EHS Kansas Association of Youth (KAY) members raised $770 for breast cancer research during their Pink Night activities on October 12.
