October is the month that brings fall festivals, beautiful colors and excited Skelly students who are settling into a routine of our ongoing educational schedule.

It continues to be a pleasure to get to know your children [and families] as we move through the school year. Thank you for having your children here on time to begin the morning routine. With teachers picking up their classes at 7:55 AM from the Gym/Cafeteria area, it is important that students arrive in time to enjoy breakfast and have time to get their backpacks in order for the early class pick-up time. The building doors are opened at 7:30 each morning to encourage students to eat breakfast and have the necessary time to settle in for the routine.

Our morning announcements are presented over the intercom at 8:10 a.m. after the morning bell rings to begin our day at 8:05. We’ve enjoyed our 2nd graders in their role to present those morning announcements. They are becoming more confident and skilled at their speaking abilities. We’re lucky to have them present for our younger students. Again, I send a special thank you to our Skelly parents who take such great care to kick each day off with smiles, hugs and long lasting snuggles for each child’s day.
