Student Life
First Grade News
Mrs. Hastin’s class will sadly say good-bye to our BEST intern, Kate Robinson. We will all miss her and wish her well as she starts her Block 3 Internship with Mrs. Clark’s 5th grade at Grandview. We wish her the BEST! We will be welcoming a new intern during the middle of January. Justine Tuttle will be working with our class as a Block 3 intern. Justine has been working in a 2nd grade classroom in Towanda. Mrs. Roop’s class has a new student. A big gator welcome to Phong Vo. He comes to us from Wichita.
We would like to thank our PTO for our Christmas gifts, program and party. Please know that we appreciate all that you do.
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday break and we will look forward to a great new year!
Fifth Grade News
Fifth grade classes will be working extra hard on writing skills when we return from Christmas break. Students will take the State Writing Assessment the week of January 26th.
Second Grade News
Second graders will begin the SPLASH program on January 15th at the YMCA. Each student needs to bring a swimsuit and towel prior to that date. Each item needs to be marked with their name. It is helpful if the students can leave their suits and towels at school for the duration of the program. Their teachers will launder the items each week. Girls with long hair need to put their hair up into a ponytail or braid as there is not enough time to dry hair after each session. No additional pool equipment (goggles or floaters) is allowed.
