The library, which is located on the second floor of the building, is open from 7:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. every school day. Books from the general collection are circulated for two weeks and may be renewed.

Reference materials may be checked out after 3:05 p.m. for overnight use and must be returned before 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Students will be charged the replacement value of books and materials which are lost or damaged.

Channel One @ EMS—El Dorado Middle School students watch the Channel One news program each day for the first twelve minutes of homeroom. The show is also available on the Internet. For access, go to www.channelone.com. Under the word Livewire, click on “Watch Livewire Video” to see the news broadcast of the day.
