Dear Parents,

We are pleased to let you know that Driver’s Education courses will be offered to eligible students again this year.

The course has two requirements, classroom coursework and driving. Students may choose from the following options:

OPTION 1  (ZERO HOUR COURSEWORK – SUMMER DRIVING BY APPOINTMENT)        
Students selecting this option will attend class from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m., April 4 – May 20, Monday through Friday at EHS. A shuttle from the high school to the middle school will be provided immediately following 8 a.m. dismissal. Driving will be scheduled by the instructor from June 7 – July 1 in groups of three. Students wishing to select this option must register in the EHS Office before March 22.  The class will be filled by age prioritization and receipt of fees. Students will be notified of their placement before March 30. This course is limited to 25 students.
Course Fee:  $250 (USD 490 Students)
$350 (Out-of-District Students)

OPTION 2   (SUMMER COURSEWORK – SUMMER DRIVING BY APPOINTMENT)        
Students selecting this option will attend class from 9-11 a.m. or 12-2 p.m., June 7 - 30, Monday through Thursday at EHS. Driving will be scheduled by the instructor from June 7 – July 29 in groups of three. Students wishing to select this option must register in the EHS Office before May 1. The class will be filled by age prioritization and receipt of fees. Enrollment is limited to two classes of 25 each. Students will be notified of their placement before May 15.
Course Fee:  $250 (USD 490 Students)
$350 (Out-of-District Students)

If your student is eligible by Kansas Law to participate in Driver’s Education, including being age 14 or older, and you wish to have them enroll in one of these options, please contact the EHS Office at your earliest convenience.  Space is limited and will be filled first with USD 490 students.
